In the year 2000, I was twenty years old and I had dropped out of University (Dartington College of Arts) due to daily panic attacks and the feeling that I wasn't at the right place at the right time.

Living back at my parents in Falmouth, Cornwall, I started to write a mini essay every day to prove to myself that I could still think academically and analytically about all sorts of subjects.

The daily discipline of writing every day helped me through and I now I have turned forty, twice the age I was then, I look back on that time and my thoughts and see if I have changed at all. What have I learned in twenty years?
